Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH seeks a Geriatrician to join a team of 5 physicians and 12 advance practice providers. The role is a mix of outpatient Geriatric assessment and inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses; both full-time and part-time opportunities exist.

Visa sponsorship is available for 2027. You will contribute to Summa’s Complex Care Institute and be part of a large, integrated health system with academic opportunities in a community teaching hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine.
• Unrestricted Ohio license or willingness to obtain one.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care in a team-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Geriatric assessment in outpatient settings and inpatient consults.
• Mix of outpatient and inpatient duties across Akron and Barberton campuses.
• Collaborate with geriatrics nurses and medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in education and academic model within a community teaching hospital.
