Job summary

Presbyterian Senior Living in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Fitness Center Assistant to support planned resident activities and promote physical well-being. You will help run pool, spa and fitness programs and engage residents in wellness activities.

The role involves 1:1 or group instruction, coordination with staff, and maintaining safety and program records to ensure high-quality resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience with aquatic therapy preferred.
• Health/fitness center experience preferred.
• Proven health/fitness assessment skills preferred.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing, planning and implementing a complete schedule of wellness activities related to the pool, spa and fitness center.
• Instructs 1:1 or in a group setting to use all fitness equipment.
• Verify receipt of physician clearance forms and maintain participant files.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Maintains a safe work environment and exhibits safe work practices.
• Interacts cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and other team members.
