Job summary

Dahlonega Assisted Living, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to lead the resident care department and ensure compliant, high-quality care across the community. The role requires supervising wellness staff, coordinating with the Executive Director in budgeting, and maintaining thorough medical documentation.

The position emphasizes infection control, medication management, and adherence to state regulations, with a strong focus on geriatric care and Validation Therapy

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in a health care community.
• At least one year of administrative or supervisory experience.
• Experience in geriatrics, emergency care, and first aid.
• Must obtain Continuing Education credits as required by the state.
• Must have Alzheimer and Dementia training with Validation Therapy focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain wellness objectives, standards of wellness practice, and policy manuals.
• Manage medication inventory and MARs; ensure proper training for dispensers.
• Maintain infection control policies and update manuals and supplies.
• Assist in planning, budgeting, and decision-making for wellness services.
• Oversee wellness personnel and their development.
