Job summary

St. James Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapist to join our growing care team. You will plan and run group and individual recreation activities and document attendance and participation.

You will facilitate resident engagement, assist residents to and from programs, and work with the care plan team to set therapeutic objectives and create patient-specific care plans. This is a full-time role with Per Diem options and an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Experience working with frail or elderly populations.
• Experience in a social or recreational program providing and coordinating services.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group and individual recreation programs as assigned by the Director of Recreation.
• Document program attendance and participation.
• Facilitate independent activities for residents.
• Assist residents to and from recreation programs.
• Work as part of the care plan team in determining therapeutic objectives and goals.
