Apploi is seeking a compassionate Speech Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility in Hiawatha, Kansas. You will provide comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing therapy to residents to improve communication and quality of life.

The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients, planning individualized therapy, and advocating for patient needs in a facility setting. A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Current state licensure in the state practicing.
• Highschool Diploma required.
• Experience in long term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships.
• Current knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation according to company guidelines and professional standards.
• Provide professional treatment for rehabilitation of speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing and cognitive disorders.
• Plan activities and provide therapeutic services for speech and language disorders.
• Serve as patient advocate and participate in quality assurance and customer service activities.
• Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans with short-term and long-term goals.
• Carry out patient care plans and progression within the care plan.
