Job summary

Majestic Care of Bloomington is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans that support functional communication, safe swallowing, and enhanced quality of life for residents in a geriatric setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• 2+ years in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare/PDPM documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with resident goals.
• Provide therapy targeting speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive communication, and dysphagia.
• Educate residents and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, O.T., and P.T. staff for holistic care.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and regulatory compliance.
