Job summary

Watsonville Post Acute seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to manage and direct the speech-language pathology department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will provide comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, educate families, and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure quality patient care.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, active CA SLP licensure, and preferred CCC-SLP.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current state licensure or certification as an SLP required.
• CCC-SLP certificationpreferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Educate residents and families on communication strategies.
• Monitor and document residents' progress; adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Design and implement home programs for patients and families.
