Job summary

Hamilton Medical Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver patient-centered care with a focus on geriatrics. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering services per MD referrals, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with JCAHO standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college of Speech Therapy as evidenced by primary source of verification.
• Licensure: Licensed in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the State of Georgia or eligible for license.
• Experience: Five (5) years or more preferred.
• Skills: American Heart Association BLS preferred.
• Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs, and being appropriate for age group of patient served.
• Vast knowledge of therapy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy to geriatric patients and contribute to quality care as part of the Hamilton Medical Center team.
• Administer evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Document evaluation and treatment progress and ensure compliance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and therapy staff to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
