Job summary
Somerwoods Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our compassionate therapy team. Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current SLP and ASHA CCC certification in Kentucky.
- 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing or similar setting.
- Expertise in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation.
- Passion for geriatric care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Specialize in dysphagia management and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation
- Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in patient care
