Job summary

Liberty Health in Windsor, North Carolina, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN license required) to provide quality geriatric nursing care in a rehabilitative setting. The role involves supervising nursing staff, assisting physicians, and ensuring compliance with medical policies and infection control.

The RN will administer medications, collaborate during rounds, and support scheduling, documentation, and patient care activities.

Qualifications

• Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• CPR certification annually.
• Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and ensure tasks are completed timely.
• Dependable, flexible, and capable of working with diverse staff and patients.
• Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems.

Responsibilities

• Assure quality nursing care for patients by following physician’s orders, state and federal regulations and facility policies.
• Administers all medications (oral, subcutaneous, IM, or IV) as ordered by MD and per facility policies.
• Leads, guides, and supervises nursing assistants and orderlies.
• Assists physicians with rounds and cares for patients during rounds, examinations, and treatments.
• Performs treatments scheduled during shift and documents appropriately; maintains infection control measures.
• Adheres to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
• Assists with research related to the quality of nursing care as assigned.
• Assists with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions; schedules annual physicals.
