Job summary

Liberty Health Southport, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality geriatric care in a rehabilitation setting. The RN will follow physician orders, maintain standards, and supervise nursing staff.

The role requires NC RN licensure, CPR certification, and active engagement in rounds, assessments, and timely documentation with emphasis on infection control and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed by NC Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification required.
• Geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality nursing care by following physician orders, regulations, and facility policies.
• Administer medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV) as prescribed and per policy.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor nursing assistants and orderlies.
• Assist physicians during rounds as needed.
• Drapes, stays with, and cares for patients during rounds, exams, and treatments.
• Perform scheduled treatments and document appropriately; maintain infection control measures.
• Adhere to cleanliness, infection control, and universal precautions.
• Assist with nursing care research as assigned.
• Assist with records, orders, admissions, and scheduling of annual physicals.
