Job summary

Hawkeye Care Centers in Iowa seeks a Registered Nurse to provide quality nursing care within our facility. You will work with resident care plans, coordinate with the health care team, and ensure charting and documentation meet standards.

You will lead nursing staff, assist physicians, and maintain confidentiality while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care in a 24/7 setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Iowa is required.
• 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
• Advanced preparation in geriatric care is preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership and ability to supervise nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Influences and updates resident care plans; coordinates with the care team.
• Completes accurate charting and performs related administrative duties.
• Leads the nursing department and supervises CNAs and CMAs.
• Maintains high standards of resident care and communicates with residents respectfully.
• Assists physicians in rounds; orders medications and documents physician orders.
• Protects privacy and confidentiality; adheres to Residents Rights and safety rules.
• Requisitions supplies and ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Creates a positive environment aligned with core values.
