Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a Skilled Nursing facility in New York. The position requires licensed RRT/CRT in the state, ability to evaluate and treat independently, and passion for geriatric care.

Weekend coverage includes Saturday and Sunday. The RT will perform assessments, initiate therapies, manage records, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and complete in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation and attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings; follow facility procedures.
