Job summary

Madison Park Healthcare seeks a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitative services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a long-term care setting.

The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist residents with therapeutic activities, and monitor progress while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaboration with the rehab team and education for residents and families are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current state licensure as PTA.
• Prior long-term care or geriatrics preferred.
• CPR certification required or obtained upon hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents in performing therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Observe residents during treatment and report changes.
• Document treatment provided and resident progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate residents and caregivers on techniques for progress and safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe therapy gym and equipment.
• Follow facility policies and infection control guidelines.
