Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. The PT will assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and work under physician direction to achieve functional goals. Documentation and education of patients and families are essential.

Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is preferred. Florida license is required, along with strong teamwork and professional standards to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Must possess a valid Florida PT license and registration.
• Oversee and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation writing skills.
• Conduct evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertifications and discharge documentation.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Deliver exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Punctual with scheduled hours and professional conduct.
• Perform duties as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Comply with confidentiality, HIPAA, and Residents’ Rights.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients to determine rehabilitation needs and goals.
• Establish and administer individualized treatment programs.
• Set realistic, achievable goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Document patient condition and progress; educate patients and families.
