Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing team in a long-term care setting.

The PT will assess referred patients, develop and administer treatment programs, supervise PT assistants, and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to deliver patient-centered care. Florida licensed PT with strong documentation skills and commitment to confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy college or university.
• Must have a valid Florida professional license and registration.
• Overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentation.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centred treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Confidentiality, HIPAA and Federal Residents Rights compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients and provide direct PT care to evaluate medical condition and functional limitations.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals based on patient capacity under physician direction.
• Document patient condition and educate patients and families in physical therapy methods.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintain compliance with confidentiality and residents' rights.
