Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). The COTA will implement treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, and ensure progress notes are documented weekly.

Experience in long-term or geriatric care is preferred, with strong patient service and professional conduct as core requirements. The role emphasizes collaboration with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care and to support the rehabilitation program as directed

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of OT.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service skills and clinical excellence.
• Punctuality and professionalism; adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment aligned with goals developed by the OT.
• Ensure timely documentation and progress notes.
