Job summary

Newport Hospital & Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for residential care to help residents maximize independence and strength. You will work with physical therapists to build a new service at River Mountain Village and related facilities, serving residents and patients across the hospital too.

The ideal candidate has an AA degree and Washington PTA licensure, with 1+ year in residential care.

Qualifications

• AA degree from an APTA-approved program.
• Current Washington PTA licensure.
• 1+ year experience in residential care/long-term care settings.
• Preferred: 3+ years in residential care/skilled nursing with fall prevention.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Administer therapy modalities and patient care as outlined in the Plan of Care.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment responses.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure patient safety and quality in all care activities.

Education

AA degree from an APTA-approved program

Washington PTA licensure

1+ year residential care/long-term care experience
