Job summary

Miami Jewish Health in Miami, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. This PRN position supports our geriatric patient population across inpatient, outpatient, and PACE settings, delivering care that promotes functional independence.

The ideal candidate holds an FL Licensed PTA, an Associate Degree, and current BLS, with at least one year of PT experience with older adults.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• At least 1 year of PT experience with geriatric population preferred.
• Florida licensed PTA and current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatments aligned with the plan of care under PT supervision.
• Implements discharge planning and home exercise program documentation.
• Assists in interdisciplinary team meetings and committee participation.
• Documents observations and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Supervises rehab aides and students when delivering services.
