Job summary

Majestic Care of Jefferson Pointe is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for PRN shifts to support high-quality rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

The PTA will implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function for residents in a geriatric, skilled nursing setting, working closely with an interdisciplinary team. Strong clinical precision and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with PDPM and SNF therapy documentation standards is a plus.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions as outlined in the treatment plan by the supervising PT.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities.
• Monitor resident responses and report progress or concerns to the PT.
• Support education for residents and families to promote carryover of therapy strategies.
• Maintain a safe, engaging therapy environment and coordinate with the care team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated care.
