Job summary

Midland Care Connection Inc. is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant for our PACE program in Olathe, KS. The PTA works under a licensed PT to maintain or improve strength, balance, and mobility of older adults in home and center settings.

You will provide therapeutic exercises, assist with transfers, and monitor progress while coordinating with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, independent daily living for participants.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with an associate degree.
• Current Kansas PTA licensure.
• Knowledge of physical therapy and rehabilitation principles.
• Ability to provide treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Ability to communicate effectively with participants, caregivers, and other members of the care team.
• Ability to complete accurate and timely documentation.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Physical ability to assist participants with mobility, including standing, walking, bending, and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic exercises and functional activities such as walking and transfers.
• Help participants use mobility equipment safely.
• Provide education on exercises and fall prevention.
• Monitor participants’ progress and document treatment.
• Communicate changes or concerns with the physical therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
