Job summary

Midland Care Connection, Inc. offers a Physical Therapy Intern opportunity within the PACE program. You will assist licensed therapists with patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and function for older adults.

Under supervision, you’ll guide therapeutic exercises and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a community-based, not‑for‑profit setting. This temporary role runs with flexible hours and serves northeast Kansas.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Completion of foundational coursework in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Ability to follow clinical instructions and work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with older adults and interdisciplinary teams.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
• Compliance with health screenings, background checks, and immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Guide participants through therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, balance and overall quality of life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to address participants’ health needs.
