Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Miami, FL seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will document progress, support geriatric patients, and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a long-term care setting.

The PTA will contribute to achieving therapy goals, maintain accurate progress notes, and uphold confidentiality and residents' rights in a compassionate care

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited PTA program.
• Active Florida PTA license/registration.
• Experience in long-term care/geriatric settings preferred.
• Proficient in clinical documentation.
• Ability to work under supervision of PT and collaborate with disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to goals developed by the PT.
• Provide feedback to supervising PT via documentation as required by policy.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Deliver exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and residents' rights.
