Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with the care team in a 95-bed facility in Miami, FL.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited PTA program and an active FL license. Prior long-term or geriatric care experience is preferred; strong documentation and patient service skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to goals developed by the PT.
• Provide feedback to supervising PT via documentation or as required by facility policy.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Ensure confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and residents’ rights.
