Job summary

Deer Oaks Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join an integrated clinical team in LTC facilities, providing therapy, assessments, and behavioral health support. The role offers professional autonomy with a Monday–Friday schedule and strong administrative and clinical backing.

The position emphasizes working onsite with older adults, leading or co-leading groups, and collaborating with nursing, social work, and medical teams to deliver evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Psychologist License is required.
• Ability to work onsite in long-term care facilities.
• Experience with geriatric populations preferred.
• Strong documentation and adherence to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive screenings.
• Provide individual psychotherapy for older adults with complex medical or cognitive needs.
• Facilitate family therapy and caregiver support sessions.
• Lead or co-lead group therapy sessions when appropriate.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Manage caseload independently with clinical judgment.
