Job summary

UAB Medicine's Behavioral Health - Geri Psychiatry unit is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric mental health patients. The role requires adherence to facility policies and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include conducting initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing nursing care plans, co-leading group therapy, and adjusting care as patient status changes.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Active Alabama RN licensure or eligibility prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients.
• Perform bio-psychosocial assessments and develop care plans.
• Lead or co-lead group therapy sessions.
