Job summary

A leading mental health services provider is seeking a qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their skilled nursing facility team in Kansas. The role offers full-time employment with the opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health services to an underserved geriatric population. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in geriatrics and be licensed in Kansas. Qualifications

• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues.

Skills

Basic computer knowledge

Strong interpersonal skills

Fluency in Spanish

Education

Licensed in Kansas by the Board of Nursing in good standing

Licensed by the Kansas Board of Pharmacy to prescribe controlled substances
