Job summary

La Maestra Community Health Centers is seeking a geriatric physician to join a multidisciplinary team delivering outpatient primary care in a patient-centered medical home. You will oversee clinical staff and collaborate across departments to ensure high-quality care for an aging, multicultural population.

Under the Medical Director, you will provide preventive care, manage chronic conditions, and address acute issues while upholding center policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited school (MD or DO).
• CA Physician & Surgeon License; DEA registration.
• Board certified in Geriatric Medicine (ABIM).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Render professional medical services to geriatric patients under the supervision of the Medical Director.
• Serve as primary consultant on geriatric cases referred by other staff providers, in person or via telephone.
• Provide preventive care and manage chronic/age-related conditions.
• Examine patients, prescribe treatment, and interpret labs; participate in clinic operations.
• Plan and implement new clinical programs and adopt new technologies to improve patient services.
