Job summary

Teksky LLC is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric services within Long-Term Care and skilled nursing settings in the Des Moines area, IA.

You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, monitor progress, and document in the EMR. This role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted PMHNP license and PMHNP-BC certification.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience or interest in Long-Term Care or geriatric psychiatry.
• Commitment to timely documentation and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for LTC residents.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications per guidelines.
• Document within the EMR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in care plan meetings.
• Support residents' mental and emotional well-being in LTC settings.
