Job summary

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will perform age-appropriate treatments, document outcomes, and help implement the plan of care.

Required: Associate degree from an accredited PTA program, MA licensure or reciprocity, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience with the elderly.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Massachusetts licensure or licensure pending via examination or reciprocity.
• CPR certification or willingness to be certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, performs delivery of age-appropriate patient care and completes competency assessments.
• Identifies and documents need for modification of treatment techniques and progress or changes in patient status.
• Communicates acute changes in patient status to the Physical Therapist and modifies treatment as needed.
• Implements prescribed treatment techniques and uses department equipment per protocols.
• Provides patient and caregiver education and training related to dysfunctions.
