Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in New York state.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with geriatric populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' physical capabilities to inform treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs to improve strength, mobility and independence.
• Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound as part of treatment.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and therapists to deliver cohesive care.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise regimens and wellness strategies.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and industry standards.
