Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists the Pharmacy team in medication preparation per physician orders.
• Dispenses medication by planning, implementing or maintaining procedures per policy and law.
• Assesses identity, strength or purity of medications.
• Manages workflow with technicians, including verification and labeling.
• Screens for drug interactions and safety via computer systems.
• Provides pharmacological information and counsels patients on drug therapies.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal drug laws and proper disposal of drugs.
