Job summary

Synchrony Pharmacy Louisville seeks a licensed pharmacist to join the team in Kentucky. The successful candidate will review physician orders, prepare medications, dispense safely, and manage records and inventories in a facility‑based setting.

Ideal candidates have an ACPE‑accredited PharmD or BS, hold NAPLEX/MPJE licenses, and bring at least five years of pharmacy experience—preferably in healthcare or long‑term care. Strong MS Office skills are expected to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited B.S. or Pharm.D. degree.
• Licensure: NAPLEX and MPJE, state-specific license where required.
• At least five years’ experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Healthcare, senior living or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists the Pharmacy team in the preparation of medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders.
• Dispenses medication according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintains records and inventories, including controlled substances, and verifies labeling and packaging.
• Monitors drug interactions, allergies, and dosing considerations using computer systems.
• Provides pharmacological information to health care professionals and counsels patients on therapies.
