Job summary

Anderson Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. The role emphasizes hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and glucose monitoring in a safe inpatient setting.

You will assist with meals and fluids, maintain patient rights and diversity, and ensure accuracy in charting and adherence to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Nurse Assistant certification by the State of Illinois.
• BLS certification required.
• Long term care, rehabilitation, or medical-surgical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admits/Discharges/Transfers patient and completes forms per policy.
• Provides for patient hygiene and nutrition needs.
• Assists with patient mobility and safety.
• Obtains and records vital signs and glucose monitoring under RN direction.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and adheres to infection control standards.
• Documents timely and accurately according to hospital policies.
