Odom Rehab, a division of OHW, seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide outpatient services in an ethical and professional manner. The role requires adherence to state guidelines and active participation in a team-driven environment.

The position requires graduation from an accredited PTA program with preferred 1 year of relevant experience, ideally in primary health care settings. Some driving within Minnesota may be required.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program is required.
• 1 year of PTA experience is preferred.
• Recent / previous work experience in primary health care setting is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Computer skills required.
• Demonstrates personal and professional accountability and responsibility.
• For Mandatory Administrative Drivers: Minnesota driver’s license and reliable vehicle; maintain auto insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Treat patients per state guidelines and address root dysfunction affecting daily function.
• Follow Plans of Care; input progress to keep goals relevant.
• Deliver PT services including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, balance training, and pain management.
• Educate patients and families on self-management.
• Assess adaptive equipment like canes, walkers, and orthotics.
• Develop discharge plans after PT completion.
• Document daily treatment and submit charges.
• Communicate with physician and medical staff regarding status changes.
• Assist in updating ODOM REHAB treatment protocols.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education credits for licensure.
