Job summary

Swift Optometry in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a compassionate Optometrist to join our team serving residents in long-term care facilities. You will provide comprehensive eye care, including exams, ocular disease management, and vision correction, delivering patient-centered services in a geriatric setting.

The role is part-time (2 days per week) with compensation described as per patient, along with benefits such as PTO and malpractice insurance, supporting a balanced work‑life integration.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed Optometrist (OD) with active license.
• DEA license required.
• Ability to perform comprehensive exams and manage ocular diseases.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, comprehensive exams for glasses and contacts.
• Perform dilated exams for seniors in long-term care facilities.
• Provide diabetic evaluations and manage eye-related conditions.
• Treat infections and injuries; repair and fit eyeglasses.
• Diagnose and manage ocular disease in geriatric patients.
• Work with a team to deliver patient-centered eye care.
