Job summary

The Occupational Therapist at Alhambra-Health-and-Rehabilitation-Cente evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides therapy to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life.

This role focuses on ADLs, functional mobility, cognition, coordination, and safety, with supervision of COTAs where applicable, and adheres to Medicare and facility guidelines in an interdisciplinary team setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current OT license in good standing in the state of Florida.
• Knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and Medicare regulations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapy focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning.
• Supervise COTAs as applicable.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
