Job summary

Miami Jewish Health in Miami is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat adults, develop therapy plans, and teach adaptive techniques to improve daily living activities. The role includes discharge planning and collaboration with the care team.

The ideal candidate will hold a Florida OT license, have a Master’s degree, and demonstrate bilingual communication (English/Spanish) preferred. On-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Florida licensed occupational therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year experience in geriatric OT preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation and plan of care.
• Develops a comprehensive treatment plan with goals aligned to impairments for each participant.
• Begins discharge planning with patient, family and/or caregiver involvement.
• Reviews patient status and adjusts the treatment program as needed.
• Supervises and trains support personnel.
• Documentation aligns with best practice standards and is timely.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and in-services.
