Job summary

Majestic Care of Goshen is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, plan individualized treatments, and promote independence in daily activities.

The OT will collaborate with a care team to support geriatric rehabilitation, document progress, educate families, supervise COTAs, and ensure compliance with facility policies. Indiana licensure required, 2+ years in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a long-term care or geriatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial function.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), self-care tasks, functional mobility, and safety awareness.
• Implement occupational therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and task-specific activities.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to support optimal outcomes.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to promote independence and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
