Qualifications

• Prior OT experience, preferably with rehab potential.
• Experience conducting OT assessments and developing effective treatment plans.
• Proven ability to implement OT programs in clinical settings.
• Experience with geriatric populations is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interprofessional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and medical conditions.
• Implement occupational therapy programs aimed at improving daily living skills, mobility, and overall independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
• Review and co-sign clinical documentation while supervising COTA staff.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding therapeutic activities and strategies for ongoing support.
• Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust therapy interventions as needed to optimize results.
• Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy, especially within geriatric populations and individuals with disabilities.
