Job summary

South Mountain Rehab Center in Boonsboro, MD, seeks a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) Instructor to teach the licensing exam preparation and assist students with registering for the Maryland State GNA licensing exam.

You will develop and evaluate the training program, supervise clinical experiences, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing to create a positive learning environment. RN licensed in Maryland with 2+ years of nursing, and teaching/training experience required.

Qualifications

RN license in Maryland
Nursing experience of 2+ years with elderly/chronically ill in past 5 years
Course with 16+ hours in adult education (Train the Trainer) or 2 years teaching experience

Responsibilities

Participate in development and evaluation of the training program
Implement the approved training program
Supervise classroom laboratory experience
Evaluate student performance in the classroom
Provide supervision and clinical evaluation of each trainee at the clinical training site
Work with the Director of Nursing to create a positive learning environment
