Job summary

Maryland Masonic Homes in Maryland is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) for the FT 3:00pm-11:00pm shift. The role provides direct nursing support under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. Candidates must have Maryland CNA training, be on MD Registry or grandfathered, and hold CPR/First Aid certification.

One year LTC experience is preferred. The position emphasizes resident safety, dignity, and adherence to infection control.

Qualifications

Must have completed an approved Nursing Assistant program in Maryland.
Must have or be grandfathered into the Maryland State Competency Evaluation.
Must be in process of or registered with the Maryland Registry for Geriatric Nursing Assistants.
Minimum of one year long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct hands-on nursing care to residents and report changes to the Nurse.
Obtain and report vital signs and weights.
Ensure overall safety and meet resident care needs.
Assist with meals, supplements, and hydration for residents.
Complete GNA documentation as required.
Assist residents to promote independence in ADLs.
Respond promptly to call lights and intercoms.
Maintain infection control and a clean environment.
Assist in transporting residents to scheduled appointments.
