Main Purpose of Job
Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, this position provides routine daily nursing care to residents and patients; ensures a safe and comfortable environment; and assists all residents and patients to their optimal level of health and functioning. Provides feedback to the nurse regarding the nurse-directed plan of care. Advocates for the resident/patient by notifying the nurse of any requests for information, concerns about care, and any resident/patient needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant in any healthcare setting.
