The State of Maryland is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care under supervision. The role involves advocating for patients and ensuring their comfort and health. Applicants must have a high school diploma and relevant experience. Certification is required.

LOCATION OF POSITION: MDH - Western Maryland Hospital Center, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742
Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, this position provides routine daily nursing care to residents and patients; ensures a safe and comfortable environment; and assists all residents and patients to their optimal level of health and functioning. Provides feedback to the nurse regarding the nurse-directed plan of care. Advocates for the resident/patient by notifying the nurse of any requests for information, concerns about care, and any resident/patient needs.
Applicants meeting minimum and preferred qualifications will undergo further evaluation based on their application details. Complete and accurate submissions are essential. Education obtained outside the U.S. requires evaluation for equivalency. Applications must be submitted by the deadline; late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
