The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) performs directpatient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant performs avariety of individualized patient care activities including bathing, dressing,feeding and transporting as well as related non-professional services necessaryin caring for the personal needs and comforts of the geriatric patientpopulation.

Minimum Requirements

• Active CNA with Geriatric Certification, required
• Experience with memory care patients, preferred
• Prefer one year of geriatric nursing assistant experience asa certified nursing assistant within the last three years.
• Graduate from certified nursing assistant program withsubsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per staterequirements with proof of verification as being an active certification andhaving the ability to be work with geriatrics per state requirements.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions.
• Current CPR
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
