Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) in Columbia, MD for a contract - full time role with 37.5 hours per week. The position involves direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting geriatric patients with bathing, dressing, feeding, and transportation, while upholding professional standards.

Competitive pay of $25 per hour plus benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) savings plan.

Qualifications

• Active CNA with geriatric certification is required by state/contract.
• Experience with memory care patients is preferred.
• One year of geriatric nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Current CPR is required.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical functions.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and transporting geriatric patients.
• Perform non-professional services necessary for personal needs and comfort.

The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) performs directpatient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant performs avariety of individualized patient care activities including bathing, dressing,feeding and transporting as well as related non-professional services necessaryin caring for the personal needs and comforts of the geriatric patientpopulation.

Minimum Requirements

• Active CNA with Geriatric Certification, required and perstate/contract requirements

• Experience with memory care patients, preferred

• One year of geriatricnursing assistant experience preferred

• Current CPR

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clericalfunctions

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
