Job summary

Cascades Healthcare in Nebraska is seeking a Full Time Nurse for a 3-month contract with a sign-on bonus and additional benefits. You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and work with a compassionate team.

This role offers on-the-job training, mentoring, a housing allowance, liability insurance, and a flexible schedule to support long-term geriatric care within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in English.
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs.
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Notify physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with treatment plan, and resident response to medication.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and properly stored.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control and safety policies and procedures.
