Job summary

Cascades Healthcare - Idaho is seeking a dedicated Full Time Nurse for a 3 month contract with a sign-on bonus. You will administer medications, document treatments, and ensure medication security in a supportive nursing and rehabilitation setting.

The role requires an active RN license, English literacy for clinical documentation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Geriatric care experience is preferred, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the hiring state.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientifically written information in English.
• Full range of motion and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in long-term geriatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines.
• Document time spent on treatments per policy.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals.
• Notify physician of adverse reactions or non-compliance with treatment plan.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat and medications stored properly.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice and supervise infection control and safety policies.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/trea...tment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a trereatment plan, and resi...dent response to medication regime with prompt notification to the phys...ician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly /disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What we’re looking for:

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
