Job summary

Rogerson Brand in Boston seeks a capable Nurse (LPN or RN) for per diem and part-time coverage in a geriatric care setting. You will work with the Lead Care Nurse, supervise CNAs, and ensure safe medication administration across shifts.

MA-licensed RNs or LPNs with 1–2 years in geriatric/dementia care and flexibility to work weekends are preferred. This role offers competitive hourly compensation with per diem and part-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse; MA license required.
• 1-2 years experience with geriatric/dementia population.
• 2+ years supervising CNAs or Home Health Aides.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong clinical documentation abilities.
• Knowledge of community support services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Care Nurse to evaluate, train, and supervise direct care staff in activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Monitor medication management and train CNAs in self-administered medication SOPs.
• Coordinate medication delivery with pharmacists and suppliers; keep medication sheets updated.
• Administer non-injectable medications as per service plans and document accordingly.
• Maintain health records and dementia evaluation history; update current resident health information.
• Assist in monthly staff scheduling and communication of medical issues to leadership.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure staff perform duties across shifts.
• Coordinate emergency response planning and staff training for emergencies.
• Monitor residents' health status and coordinate care with providers.
