Job summary
The New York State Department of Health seeks a Registered Nurse 2 (Geriatrics) to coordinate, direct and provide professional nursing care for nursing home residents under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing. You will develop care plans, supervise treatments and help educate nursing staff.

Qualifications
- Possession of a NYS licensed Registered Professional Nurse with current registration; one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience with geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, direct and provide professional nursing care to nursing home residents under supervision of the Assistant Director of Nursing/Director of Nursing.
- Develop, update and monitor nursing care objectives in treatment plans for individuals and administer nursing treatments.
- Assist in nursing orientation programs including education and training needs for nursing staff.
- Review records and discuss staff and program requirements with facility managers; serve on committees and workgroups related to treatment and care.
